As hard as we work during the week, we always want to play just as hard. EQR boasts a fun, team environment where our employees create lasting friendships. Liam  O'Meara

President

Liam grew up in and around the construction industry and has done little else since a young age. He spent many years working as a manager of infrastructure construction, commercial construction, and real estate development but has found his true passion in working hard to restore our watersheds. When he’s not working, he spends his time with his family fishing, crabbing, and sailing on the Severn River.

Pete joined the EQR team in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer.  He finds EQR to be a great place to use his accounting education, his construction background, and his love of outdoor activities and our natural resources. He considers it an honor work with EQR’s great team to assist in improving the Chesapeake Bay. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family fishing and camping, coaching and cheering at his sons’ various sporting activities, and volunteering with Boy Scouts.

Rick Scaffidi

Rick started with the company in 1994 as a project manager when most projects were soil bioengineering and buffer plantings. In 1997, he became VP of construction, managing the estimating, construction and landscape operations while traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic managing projects. As EQR has grown, Rick has focused his attention on sales and estimating, as well as incorporating new water quality techniques in operations.

Chris, a native of Washington D.C, spent a number of years in the housing and commercial construction sector. Having lived and now raising his children in the urban environment, he saw firsthand the degradation in the watersheds he lived in and decided to put his construction skills to better use. In his current role as Vice President of Operations, he supports the continuing effort to improve watersheds throughout the Mid- Atlantic region, by EQR’s many crews. When not working, Chris spends weekends watching and volunteering in his childrens' many sporting endeavors.

Ken  Williams

VP of Contracts

Ken has worn many hats in his tenure at EQR. He started as a laborer and has grown with the company where he learned hands-on what it takes to succeed at the many facets of our business. Although his hands are not nearly as dirty now, he still enjoys being involved in both the fine details of the projects, as well as his role as a member of the senior management team. When not working, Ken’s time is spent with his family outdoors gardening and on local trails.

Mike  Farley

 

Director of Ecological RestOration

Like other EQR employees, Michael grew up in suburban Maryland.  He was hired by EQR as a laborer in 1993 after graduating from the University of Maryland with a Natural Resources Management degree.  As he moved up to a foreman, then supervisor, he acquired field experience in environmental construction and restoration ecology.   Based on his experiences, in 2016 he was named Director of Ecological Restoration, responsible for EQR’s Stormwater Facility Maintenance Contracts and Landscape

Restoration projects. 

Jimmy  Dick

Business Development Manager

Jimmy was born in Washington, DC, grew up in Montgomery County, MD and now resides on Kent Island with his daughter.  He was thrilled to join EQR in 2014 after spending 25 years in several business development positions, mostly in the environmental field.   His business philosophy puts truth and justice in the forefront and therefore engages in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects.  He is tremendously passionate about our environment and is honored to work with colleagues that share his passion for doing what is right for our planet and future generations.  When not working you will find him crabbing, fishing, organic gardening

and/or cooking.

Katrina  Emery

Senior Estimator

Katrina started with EQR as an intern in 2006 and has since grown to Senior Estimator for the company. With degrees in both mechanical engineering and plant sciences, she works to bridge the gap between design goals and construction realities, both in estimates and presentations at local environmental conferences. Outside of work, Katrina is an avid rock climber, dancer, and loves to be out hiking or on the water.

Charles  Conner

Health and Safety Officer

Bobby Conner has lived in Maryland for the better part of 3 decades. Bobby enjoys spending his free time with his three boys out on the sports fields and coaching the kid's sports teams. Bobby loves that fact that he is able to keep EQR employees safe while helping the environment and has found his calling in life.
