Kingstowne Pond Outfall Repair and Access Design
Fairfax County, Virginia, awarded this task order to EQR under its IDIQ contract for Stormwater and Floodproofing Improvements. The work entailed constructing imbricated stone drop structures, plunge pool and step pool, resetting of the end section of the pond PSP outfall, concrete channel extension, site stabilization and restoration landscaping. The landscaping included a wide variety of native trees and shrubs that have both wildlife and ornamental value.

EQR and its personnel won several Fairfax County 2019 Land Conservation awards for their efforts on this project. Awards were in the categories of Outstanding Contractor, Special Project and Best Protected Environmentally Sensitive Site.

EQR completed the project on January 28, 2020.
