Crabbs Branch -

Stormwater Management

Crabbs Branch Stream Valley Park is a storm water management retrofit of a dry pond into an extended detention wetland pond with forebay and two wet pools, with the modification of existing riser structure.  It was designed to take an existing piece of land and create a series of outfalls and ponds to allow storm water to flow slower and the sediment to settle prior to exiting the site.

EQR slip lined the existing storm water pipes and added a few structures to manage and treat the volume of water that comes through this area. By creating a series of ponds we are able to help slow the water, infiltrate it and improve the water quality after storm events.
