Heavy Equipment Manager
EQR's Operations Group is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Manager to help further develop and coordinate the company-wide maintenance program for our large fleet of heavy equipment. The Heavy Equipment Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the preventative maintenance and repairs are performed with minimal downtime and impact to production.
Responsibilities include:

Develops and coordinates maintenance program for all heavy equipment company wide. Coordinates, estimates, documents, manages, and often implements repairs to equipment fleet. Management to include the scheduling of equipment mechanics and lube techs as well as managing vendors for these tasks. Maintains and organizes equipment maintenance area. Maintains correct levels parts inventories and does parts purchasing. Assists in the management of the Construction Division by reporting to and coordinating with the Vice President of Construction Operations.

Coordination of materials, equipment, purchasing for proper machine maintenance and tracking to keep jobs on an efficient production pace. Requires constant communication between Production staff and vendors, Sub-contractors, Project Supervisors, etc.

Identifies and tracks the condition, maintenance and repairs for all EQR equipment.

Coordinates with Vice President of Operations and Job supervisors the timely repair and maintenance of equipment on a job site.

Responsible for management of the equipment maintenance facility. This includes the orderly appearance of the yard and an updated inventory of materials stocked in the yard.

Works in close coordination with Vice President of Operations to schedule and arrange equipment moves.

Monitors actual costs versus budget costs.
Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Professional work demeanor.

Good negotiation skills for pricing of goods.

Understands the value of a quality control plan and how to implement and maintain one,

Good organizational skills.

Heavy equipment mechanic skills, basic knowledge of construction and parts purchasing.

Basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
Salary Range: $60k - 81k / Year
Benefits include Health and Dental Insurance, Paid leave, 401(k), profit sharing and some transportation.
This position will be based out of our Crofton Heavy Equipment Shop.
