For over 25 years EQR has been controlling non-native invasive plant species in forests, rights-of-way, and aquatic settings.  We evaluate each project and utilize appropriate best management practices for each species, including mechanical and chemical control methods. We are currently licensed for herbicide spraying in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. We comply with the laws of each locale and submit toxic materials permits and critical areas permit as required. 

Our crews are experts at identifying native and non-native plant species and practice extreme care with the use of herbicides, paying attention to temporal and spatial growth patterns, seasonal control efficacies, as well as microclimate weather, wind and wet locations.  

Managing non-native invasive species when restoring a wetland or stream is crucial to a long-term maintenance program and vital to successful native plant establishment.
