Popo Agie -
Stream Restoration
EQR was contracted by the Popo Agie Anglers in Lander, Wyoming to perform a cold water fish habitat stream restoration along a 0.5-mile section of the Middle Fork Popo Agie River. This project was a high-profile project in the community that needed to be successful in order to help secure funding for future projects of similar scope along the Popo Agie River.
The purpose of the project was to improve low flow fish habitat along the section of the river. Specific features include 625 linear feet of boulder weirs, 124 linear feet of boulder toe with root wads, 93 linear feet of grade control boulders, 85 feet of j-hooks, 15 boulder pocket pools, 14 root wads, and 2,235 live
stake plantings.
