EQR’s Maintenance Department works with municipalities, government agencies, HOAs, developers, and private companies to maintain a wide range of stormwater facilities. From green infrastructure and bioretention to stormwater ponds and wetlands, our crews bring more than 35 years of environmental construction experience to every project.

Green Infrastructure Maintenance

Green infrastructure naturally collects sediment, debris, and organic material as it captures and filters stormwater. Routine maintenance helps prevent these materials from impacting system performance.

EQR provides inspection, maintenance, and repair for:

• Rain gardens and bioretention facilities

• Stormwater ponds and wetlands

• Sand filters and vegetated swales

• Inlets, outlets, and other stormwater infrastructure

• Green roofs and other specialized systems

Our crews can address sediment accumulation, erosion, drainage issues, damaged structures, failing berms, and unwanted or invasive vegetation. We support both ongoing maintenance contracts and one-time projects.

Bioretention & LID

EQR has more than 25 years of experience installing and maintaining Low Impact Development (LID) and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) systems.

These systems—including bioretention areas, infiltration swales, gravel wetlands, permeable pavement, cisterns, and filtration systems—are engineered to manage stormwater while providing benefits such as pollutant removal, infiltration, flow reduction, and habitat creation.

Our crews understand the components that make these systems work, from underdrains and observation wells to engineered soils, stone storage layers, and native plantings. That construction knowledge allows us to identify problems, perform repairs, and maintain systems for long-term performance.
