
Project Manager (Richmond, VA)

Environmental Quality Resources is looking for a Project Manager in the Richmond, VA area. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple environmental and construction-related projects from contract award through final closeout. This includes overseeing contract compliance, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client communication to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
The role serves as the primary liaison between the client/owner, internal leadership, field supervisors, and accounting teams, ensuring clear communication around scope, timelines, costs, and project performance.
Core responsibilities include:

Managing multiple projects simultaneously

Overseeing project startup, execution, and closeout

Creating and maintaining budgets, schedules, and cost tracking

Managing purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and invoices

Tracking change orders, submittals, and contract updates

Monitoring daily job logs and project progress

Leading preconstruction, progress, and completion meetings
-
Ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance

Conducting post-project performance analysis

Traveling for site visits, meetings, and field oversight
Qualified candidates will have the following:

3 years (min) 5 years (preferred) experience managing self-performed construction projects and/or field experience building stream restoration projects.

Bachelor’s degree- Environmental or construction management (preferred)

Proficiency with Microsoft office, Scheduling software, and View Point or CMiC ERP programs.

Solid communication skills both written and verbal
This position requires strong leadership, financial oversight, project coordination, and the ability to work in both office and field environments within environmental quality, stormwater, and construction operations.
Pay range: $85,000 - $95,000
